Draft picks are great but this is a significant loss for the seahawks. They have lost players, coaches, now front office staff. Hopefully JS is up to the task of replacing all of them. Success really is about the people JS has around him. Teasley sends out letters to every NFL team. He gets one reply, that's from JS. I think that speaks to the kind of GM JS is

the one “outsider” candidate, and one of most respected evaluators in the NFL who wasn’t already a GM. An NFL source told me recently that Teasley would have already been a GM if he played politics. “Grinder” and “innovator” are two words commonly used to describe him.

Yawn, the team is already set for 2026 and now has a dozen draft picks to either use on rookies or trade for vets. I am sure JS isn't going to hire you are me so guessing his replacement will be solid.

Sure, I have confidence in JS but there is luck involved, opportunity. I've always said you make your luck, you have a role in it. You have to be available to the luck. I see J5 as being like that. He was lucky to find Teasley but that turned on him being the only one to reply to his letter. I think that's a great example of how that works

It is funny that we are lamenting picking near the end of the draft again. It seems in this horrible draft we got good players to fill the 4 players we lost. It seems JS has learned this time around.

This isn't even close to the first FO executive we have lost in John's era. I have hammered on John for his shitty O Lines, but really? What complaint other than that can we have, and even that seems to have been corrected. IMO? The FO's problem was Pete Carroll. The further Pete got away from his college days, knowing the players that he either coached, coached against or recruited? Our drafts got worse and worse. The fix was to get him out of John's way.

The constant hand wringing over little shit is funny though. We lost an executive, oh no.
