Nice first at bat as a Mariner, but I'll be calling him Ty "Freedom."

Told ya my friend.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 1:37 amSo, we get to see new Mariners Torrens and France in action tonight. Looking into Torrens, he's a bit more exciting than I realized. He had an injury in 2015 it appears, and missed the entire season. Would have been his first full season of pro ball in the states. 2 years later he was claimed in Rule 5 and played 56 games in MLB, this after having just 50 AB above short season single A rookie ball, so his .163 Batting average in SD is somewhat understandable. In 2018 and 2019 he played high A and AA respectively (with a few games in MLB in 2019 as well). He his .280 and .300 in those seasons, with 15 HR and .873 OPS in AA last year in 97 games. All of this, and he's still only 24 years old. Not a bad pickup. His K rate last year in AA was 19%, and BB rate was about 12 % which is pretty encouraging.

France is my new, favorite county. Might just have to Ty one on tonight.
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

I liked the trade from the beginning, and Trammel was only a small percentage of the reason why. I like getting a highly touted guy, because if Julio and Kelenic both become studs, then he's good trade bait in the future. Getting a potential starting 3B and C as well for Nola an injured releiver and a bad reliever is crazy. Oh, and throw in a potential closer that throws triple digits.D-train wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 1:43 amTold ya my friend.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 1:37 amSo, we get to see new Mariners Torrens and France in action tonight. Fantastic inning by the new guys. France was running on that DP so all good there and Torrens just ripped that one. Very happy so far.
