What exactly do you think I am obsessed about? I made one post that mentioned Rutgers along with 3 other teams and then responded a couple times to you. You then delved into a giant research project apparently dissecting the entire history of the school posting everything you can find about them.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 1:44 amYou seem pretty obsessed as well. So whos the tougher opponent, USC or Wahington?

I don't remember you mentioning them. The post I remember I believe was Hindermith, wondering how Rutgers could be ranked higher than the Huskies so I was curious. From the hype seemed it could be an interesting early season matchup, particularly if they get by Virginia Tech. Rutgers accused of running up the score in their season opener, bring them on! lol

No, that was Captain. I'm the one who made the Rutger Hauer post.

Really... okay, Big Ten power rankings after week one...
Eight, Rutgers
Eight, Rutgers
Nine, WashingtonAnalysis: Rutgers is off to a strong start to 2024, an all-in year for the program. We will not learn much about the team’s quality after a win over Howard. But there were several positives, including Monmouth transfer wide receiver Dymere Miller finding the end zone. Rutgers remains a popular sleeper pick to win the conference.
https://badgerswire.usatoday.com/lists/ ... standings/Analysis: Jedd Fisch’s debut at Washington went according to plan on Saturday night. The star of the game was running back Jonah Coleman, who took 16 carries for 127 yards and three touchdowns. Washington’s offense was as-advertised in this contest, finishing with 482 total yards. The question will come on defense when better competition is on the opposing sideline.

Rodgers was 20 for 26 almost and 80% completion rate and with 250 yards which is almost 10 yards per attempt 1 TD and no turnovers. Seems to be a solid start.

Just noticed Arizona is ranked 21st in the nation. How the hell did they manage that after losing a head coach and several key players to UW (which isn't even top 50)?

Considered portal winners
Winner: Arizona football
New coach Brent Brennan and the Wildcats stand, in our estimation, as the biggest winner of the spring transfer cycle. Yes, they lost a handful of players, several of them to Washington. But the bigger story is who they retained: Quarterback Noah Fifita, receiver Tetairoa McMillan, linebacker Jacob Manu and cornerback Tacario Davis are not following former coach Jedd Fisch to Seattle. They are not seeking bigger and better deals in the SEC. They are not jumping to the Big Ten-bound schools in Los Angeles. They are the core four for a program well positioned to challenge for the Big 12 title and keep the momentum rolling.
Loser: Washington football
The Huskies were gutted by attrition in January, with loads of starters bolting for the NFL Draft or the transfer portal. While Fisch secured a starting quarterback (Mississippi State transfer Will Rogers), he has not reloaded the lines of scrimmage to the level required for UW to compete for a top-tier finish in the Big Ten

Re: Huskies ranked 10 in Big 10 Media poll
Virginia tech lost basically by having two players on the field with the same number, how does that happen? Why do they have the same number to begin with?
On the ensuing punt, Virginia Tech got called for having a pair of No. 0's on the field, which in the big picture is a major coaching gaffe. Ali Jennings was back to return the punt because Tucker Holloway was out injured and Jaylin Lane couldn't return the punt according to Pry. That left Jennings, but the problem is, Keli Lawson also wears that number and was also on the field. Getting the five yards back, the Commodores decided to give a 53-yard field goal attempt to kicker Brock Taylor who drilled it for a 20-10 lead

So what made Tucson such a hot destination? UW just played in the NC game and has the sons of the two most recognizable coaching names in the NFL as coordinators, but nobody wanted to come here?
