This forum, and maybe it's because of the M's, is particularly defeatist... it doesn't matter who we're playing. If we win Monday, and who knows, maybe we will... the same actors in the game thread will do their typical dance, "Oh... hmm... well we pulled it off, what do you know?" Then the next week... "OMG JOEY HUNT MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY!!! WHAT EVER WILL WE DO!!!???"
"for once", "every game", "acting like we're about to get smoked". - This is total BS. The posts on this forum don't back any of that up.
I don't know what the M's have to do with any of this. I personally don't watch the Ms, so you won't see me comment on them.
I haven't heard one single person write that we have no chance against the 49ers.
One or two people who take an ultra negative track in game threads don't speak for the whole forum, although game threads can get negative. You should definitely avoid them.
The subject of this thread is: "Hunt injured?"
You translate that for us to mean "OMG JOEY HUNT MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY!!! WHAT EVER WILL WE DO!!!???"
I rest my case.

Who's going to play C if Hunt is hurt? Kinda big deal.IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 6:31 pm

Not sure... That's not for me to determine. Any lineman with a pulse?ThePro wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 8:08 pmWho's going to play C if Hunt is hurt? Kinda big deal.IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 6:31 pm

They have a plan if he were to go down and because he's played so poorly thus far, I don't think you'd see much more impact with someone else versus what he's already allowed. Multiple pressures and sacks in his limited play. I'm willing to go with just about anyone.
The Hawks losing Joey Hunt at Center would be the equivalent of the Huskies losing Andre Baccellia at WR. Meaning, none... actually not true, we might get a nice surprise playing someone else!
Re: Hunt injured?
I disagree. One Hunt hasn't been playing poorly. Nearly 500 yards of offense with him at C . Not sure how that is possible with him playing as bad ad you claim. Second Roos would be the center and he is a guard. Could be disastrous against 49ers D line. Wish Pocic was healthy.IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 9:13 pmNot sure... Center is a very important position. Especially for a team that likes to go out of shotgun as much as Seahawks.

Ok well I view Hunt as just a replaceable body... never was a fan of them drafting him out of TCU. He's undersized and he's allowed 2 sacks on his own + a lot of pressures according to PFF.ThePro wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 9:19 pmI disagree. One Hunt hasn't been playing poorly. I have no doubt in my mind the Hawks draft a center early next year... I just don't have any concern in Joey Hunt not playing Center for the Seahawks in any game.

I don't pay for the service. But each week multiple sources publish the best and worst offensive/defensive performers in a game. Hunt was listed on the worst O-performers twice.ThePro wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 9:34 pmLink?IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 9:29 pm[

His overall grade of 52 is below average, he's had 2 games where he graded in the 40's which is below replacement level.
I believe in his first game at center he allowed a sack and 4 pressures, a grade of 48 according to memory of the post with an even lower pass pro grade.
Re: Hunt injured?
Ok that was against the Falcons. You specifically said he allowed 2 sacks and 4 pressures like you knew it as fact.IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 9:40 pm

Here are the lowest graded players from PFF week 9 vs Bucs
Hunt is not there. If he was giving up 2 sacks and 4 pressures he would be on this listWorst offensive grades
Mike Iupati – 45.8
Iupati allowed three pressures and was given a 26.2 pass blocking grade.
George Fant – 48.8
PFF gave Fant a 49.8 run blocking grade.
Jaron Brown – 52.2
Brown played just 17 snaps and wasn't targeted once.
Someone got caught being full of shit.

No, I didn't say in just that particular game. I said he's allowed 2 sacks and multiple pressures overall. He's played more than once.ThePro wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 9:45 pmOk that was against the Falcons. https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/joey-hunt/10849 <- there's his 52 grade and 2 sacks. Oh I guess I'll give him the benefit of 53.
Worst offensive grades week 8:
RG D.J. Fluker – 40.2
Fluker allowed a sack and was penalized twice in his return to the lineup from a hamstring injury.
C Joey Hunt – 48.7
PFF didn't think much of Hunt's work in place of Justin Britt. He allowed a team-high four pressures and one sack. He was also penalized once. Hunt's pass blocking grade was just 40.2
TE Luke Willson – 51.3
He also played in week 6... and had a grade of 46.8.
Considering his overall grade is 53... and he had 2 weeks of 48.7 and 46.8... in another game he probably had a grade in the upper 50's... which is still below average for the position.

Re: Hunt injured?
Ok but Hunt was forced into duty against Atlanta . After a week of preparation Week 9 against a better defensive front he played well. . I would rather have a true center there instead of Roos. This isn't that difficult to follow.
It is a moot point because only players listed as questionable are Lano Hill and Phil Haynes.
