Independence Day GT
Re: Independence Day GT
Jeez - can we send Moore down? Make up an injury? He needs to be in AAA figuring his swing out. It has this odd uppercut to it now and so he can't even hit pitches right down the middle.
Re: Independence Day GT
Moore needs to go to Tacoma and get straightened out offensively if possible. He’s just a mess right now and we are in a pennant race.

Minor League Options:
Younger players with "options" remaining can be sent to the minors without their consent.
Veterans' Consent:
Players with five or more years of major league service time (including those who have been "outrighted" before) can refuse a minor league assignment and become free agents, according to Wikipedia.
Outrighting:
When a player is "outrighted," it means they are removed from the 40-man roster and sent to the minors. Veterans can refuse an outright assignment, especially if they've been outrighted before, and become free agents.
Rehabilitation Assignments:
Even veterans can be sent to the minors for short-term rehabilitation assignments, but this is usually for injury recovery and they still receive their MLB salary.
