high reward in terms of the risk, he isn't going to have to carry the offense. I don't know if i would call him a backup as much as situational. Its the possibly of an experienced route runner for things like 3rd down passing situations, if he isn't healthy they can survive without him, if he is healthy he could be an added weapon for RW.

yeah he's mid-30's and close to retirement, so i would get the concern if we were counting on him as a primary option, but we're not. nobody expecting another pro-bowl season, but he played 14 games last year, missing 2 only because of concussion, not the foot. still had plenty of catches and yards, from a subpar QB no less. a reliable proven vet who's a complete player, blocking AND receiving, putting only $6 - $7 M at risk for only one year in the inflated FA market that doesnt cost you any draft pick - sorry, i think that is good value.
