How did a King County guy choose Wenatchee?

Weren’t you going on a trip with your RV through the country?
Why would I pay double for housing cost when I don't have too? The weather here is much better too.
Wenatchee has postseason baseball Friday evening:

That field is 3 blocks from my house.

how do you know there's no contract discussions happening
Why would they extend him when he is getting old, his D sucks, his bat is mid and they have Emerson who could debut late next season and start OD 2027?? They won't trade him, extend him or give him a QO.
no idea why, but we don't have anymore idea what's going on with JP than we did with Cal

So again what to do with JP. How do you know Emerson is gonna be ready in 2 years. Frankly he should be ready come spring training next year. As far as I'm concerned it's his job to lose. There's not room for all these prospects. Someone's gonna have to move. I mean between Arroyo, Celesten, Emerson, not to mention Tai Peete. Too much talent, not enough space. It's a shame you can't keep them all.

1. Cijntje has to stop the absurd gimmick & pick a side, preferably the right side where he's far more dominant

2. Ford HAS to get moved. I'd love it if we could package him for Bryce Eldridge of the Giants. Their infield is set except for behind the plate. They could really use a guy of Ford's talent & we need a 1B BADLY. Figure out who else they'd want maybe an OF & an arm or 2 (Bautista/Farmelo then throw in a Hancock/McGraw/Sloan/Cijntje). This has to be priority #1 this offseason no question.

3. Do something with Laz. That strikeout rate is way to high. That's gotta come down. Arroyo is almost half that. Maybe a move to 1B is in order. Heck Phillies moved Harper over from the OF.

4. When does Kade join the rotation? The anticipation is getting to me.

Do you guys see a possibility where both Kade & Sloan crack the rotation in say 2027 maybe 2028?

I think Geno has seen his last days as a Mariner. Unless you wanna buck the trend & go hard after Bregman which no one here would be opposed to, you gotta go with youth at the hot corner. I really don't wanna go with Williamson for a year.

Again the biggest question this offseason will be at the corners. Does Naylor get re-signed or do you dip into the trade market & what happens at 3B. I've made my case. It's hard to give up on Naylor since he's played so well but are the higher brass gonna wanna fork out that kind of contract for him. Who wouldn't want a big hulking 6'7 left handed hitting power 1B. Remind you of anybody? Gonna be tough decisions ahead, that's for sure. Frankly we could also use an upgrade at Closer but who's trading top prospects for a closer. If you wanted to make a move for a potential 3B, Cincy has a good prospect in Sal Stewart.

.984 FPCT% in AA
.968 in 17 games at 3B for AAA Louisville

Not to mention sporting a line of .333/.394/.656/1.050 in 27 games at AAA

Might be worth taking a look at.

4. I really hope Kade makes the rotation out of spring training. How much more seasoning does he need. As if that rotation can't get any more dominant. What an embarrassment of riches. Somebody's gotta get moved.

Can Emerson crack the opening day roster I'd love that. I think Geno has seen his last days as a Mariner. Unless you wanna buck the trend & go hard after Bregman which no one here would be opposed to, you gotta go with youth at the hot corner. I really don't wanna go with Williamson for a year.

2) Tyler Locklear put up far better stats in AAA than Eldridge has.

3) What does moving Laz to 1B have to do with him striking out less?

5) (for some reason you stopped numbers) Emerson will not be on the opening day roster for the M's lol. He's played 8 games as a 19 YO in AA.

6) Geno was never expected to play past this year with the M's. You want to start Eldridge at 1B because he's "big and hulking?" Who is he supposed to remind me of? Judge? Cause right now he reminds me of Joey Gallo w. far less power.

I would re-sign Naylor... 2 years $34M.

I would sign the kid from Japan. Have him play 3B and then move him to 1B when Emerson is ready in a couple years.

As opposed to keeping Naylor. I don't want a high strikeout guy though. At this point I hope they re-sign Naylor but wouldn't bat an eye at Murakami.

Bryce Eldridge is a solid idea but I wonder about the swing and miss. If it were me, I would try to re-sign Naylor first, though I wouldn't overpay for him. If Naylor doesn't sign, they could look at Vinnie Pasquantino from KC.

My theory on the upcoming offseason is that it could be wild. I think there will be a lot of trades and I wouldn't be surprised to to see one or more of these big blockbuster deals where significant major league players and prospects get moved, and the Mariners are sitting there with the most top 100 prospects in the league.

The thing to do with Laz is to just keep him where he is for now. This is part of learning how to hit higher level pitching.
