Offseason Plans

Re: Offseason Plans
For me, while I'd love to get Jose Ramirez, I'd like a longer timeline than 2 years. Get Semien and some top of the rotation FA SPs. Or as an alternative to Semien, if they can trade for Jorge Polanco without giving up too much of the farm.

Who do you like for a SP. I like that Rodon is young but he might not even pitch in the playoffs due to more injuries.

Re: Offseason Plans
For those who want Semien, why would he and the Blue Jays not want a reunion?
He thinks the Blue Jays "became the best team in baseball."
They could easily pay him considering Guerrero, Bichette and Biggio are making zilch.
If I'm the Jays I pay him 3-years $80 million and call it a day.

Here's a listing of the FA pitchers, sorted by 2021 fWAR.

Gausman, Ray, ERodriguez, Stroman are all fine.

You could say that about any FA. And you can say the same about our payroll.SeattleSportsRUs wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 12:44 amFor those who want Semien, why would he and the Blue Jays not want a reunion?

Thanks. Yeah I still like Gausman out of that Group. Ray seems a little fluky, ERod had a 4.74 ERA and 1.39 WHIP, and Stroman is a SJW so not my type of human.ice99 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 12:48 amHere's a listing of the FA pitchers, sorted by 2021 fWAR.

Re: Offseason Plans
To get him, I'd go at least 4 years. He's blocking Biggio, BTW. If I'm the Toronto GM, I'd try to sign him, but even without him Toronto will still be one of the top hitting teams. Toronto is lacking in pitching. so I'd spend to sign SP and high leverage RP.SeattleSportsRUs wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 12:44 amFor those who want Semien, why would he and the Blue Jays not want a reunion?
