Hawks vs Tennepee game thread
Re: Hawks vs Tennepee game thread
Good to be critical, good to debate. But, it’s so hard if not impossible for me to wish my team to lose.
Especially, being a fan since the 1st year.

Late to the party here and perhaps someone already mentioned this, but...
Adams doesn't play the last two games, and they've won the last two games.
Coincidence?

Yup, same. My dad jumped in with eight 200-level Kingdome seats in 1976 day one on the 35-yard line. Those original season tickets in great seats were $12 first year I think, maybe $15 by 1977, then $18...
We kept those same seats until I think around 1993 or so, when Behring tried to bone us. I went from a high school kid to a 30-something in those seats. I can't ever root against them, plus some of my frat bros still work for the company.
Even if I think they are going to creamed if they get to playoffs, wtf. Even if I knew the feckin' Niners or Lambs were going crap on us again, I'm not going to bet against us.
Merry Christmas

No facts to back this up, but maybe they are making an example of Adams: no sacred cows after he blows coverages, pops off on the internet and blocks hungrier guys waiting for a chance.

Re: Hawks vs Tennepee game thread
It appears they brought Adams back too soon, probably as a result of needing to justify the ridiculous contract they gave him, which was probably a result of the ridiculous draft haul they gave up to get him. Classic case of one bad decision leading to another and another...

My only beef with it is we are so stuck in our ways, we seem to always want to change talented players to fit what we do, instead of either scheming ways for them to succeed or adding players that fit what we do. It's not the first time that's happened, it's just the first time I remember it not working on this side of the ball. Maybe the CB from Philly we ended up releasing, but otherwise? It's usually shiny toys on offense we seem to have to have but never know how to play with.

been waiting to see that for a long time - that was his sole reputation at Stanford - unstoppable post up threat in the red zone.
Re: Hawks vs Tennepee game thread
No coincidence at all. That Eagles game is never won without Love's two 4th quarter interceptions that dont happen if Adams is there (the first would have been an Eagles TD just like we saw the week before on the same play by Deebo Samuel). Only value Adams has left, if any, is as a LB - some position where he is protected in coverage.
