The A's
The bats are ok 102 OPS+
but the arms 78 ERA+

Luis Severino, who was their big splash signing the biggest contract in franchise history 67M over a 2004 contact for 6/66M

He has complained big-time that that Sac stadium is like playing a Spring Training game.
Road .219 .293 .337 .630 and a 3.23 ERA
Home .300 .359 .468 .827 and a 6.79 ERA

I don't know about what you all thought about the A's at the end of last season but when I looked at Rooker, Butler, Bleday, Shea L, and some really elite prospects like Kurtz and the Wilson's boy (Jack Wilson) Mariner 2009-2011

They had some prospect arms and Mason Miller. The added Luis and I looked at them and expected them to be .500 +/- 8 or 9? The started 20-16 and are now 18 under .500

VS
Tampa currently 10 games over in the #1 WC spot. Who are in a Spring Training facility of the Yankees for home games. Tampa started 16-21 but are now 10 over. 108 OPS+ offense, 107 ERA+ defense.

I would consider both these clubs have really good directives in place and both face challenges in market, venue, and Mariner like profit over performance to compete at the highest level.

I just wanted to get some feedback on how Oakland has fared vs Tampa. And really, is this kind of reflective of how people react to Seattle.

Anyhow, your thoughts.
