I'm actually still in on Refsnyder though it's certainly possible he's cooked. I think the bigger issues are 1) terrible defense at most positions, 2) too much Connor Joe and Luis Rivas, 3) too much platooning and 4) Cal's bad start to the season. Starting pitching has had some uneven moments but has mostly been pretty good, Luis Castillo notwithstanding, and the bullpen is holding up despite being down two key relief pitchers in Brash and Speier.

We'll see how May and June go. The all star break will be here before we know it, then summer starts winding down and we'll be looking at another season in the books.

Joe's been putting up fairly decent numbers hasn't he?

And this ownership keeps making the same mistake over and over and over again, acquiring mid-30s right-handed hitters in the hope they'll recapture their youth while playing half their games at T-Mobile Park. And somehow among those failures they brought back Garver who was 0-32 lifetime there which was the biggest red flag ever to begin with and has just gotten worse and worse. The guy shouldn't be wearing a major league uniform and we're stopping just short of having a Bobblehead Night for him. It's just uncanny.

1. Yes, and not only physical errors but mental errors like Garver throwing o 2nd with a runner half way in between 2nd and 3rd and he jogs safely into 3rd later scoring the winning run.
2. Rivas Yes. Bring up Brock Rodden. Not a Joe fan buy only 28 PAs vs 57 for Ref. .761 OPS only 8 points lower than Julio.
3. YES!!
4. YES!!! Just and unreal implosion at age 29 after an MVP season. The Curse says Hi!

You don't put together baseball team on a computer. Baseball is not played on a computer. I get the platoon shit WHEN IT WORKS. Newsflash: IT'S CLEARLY NOT WORKING. But then again I say it's not just our team. Look at the rest of the league. G-A-R-B-A-G-E as in hot steaming. 3 teams above .500, THREE & 1 of those teams has the lowest payroll in all of baseball. Think about that for a minute. People say it's early. That shit don't fly. Games matter just as much in May as they do in September. Winning is winning. So we can't be totally mad at our team when the rest of the league can't even stay at or above .500. The best hitting catcher plays for the A's, Judge is still Judge & 2 of the best hitters in the AL again just happen to play for the team with the lowest payroll.

Cal had the WBC slow mo and looked like he was coming out of it when the injury derailed the train. I am sure he will get it going soon.
