I've been wondering this for the last couple seasons. All those years of the front office refusing to give a good offensive line to Wilson like other front offices do for their franchise QBs, 45-50 sacks per season along with countless hits. No way in hell could his brain work like it did back in 2012.
He's just constantly doing stupid things out there. We saw a great example tonight when the commentators pointed out Swain standing by himself 20 yards downfield right in Wilson's direct line of vision as he inexplicably tried to force a jump ball to Metcalf. And that wasn't the only time he threw the ball to the wrong guy. Not to mention that inexplicable sack he took on the final drive when all he had to do was flip the ball out of bounds. Did he forget the rules?
And of course, his skills aren't overcoming his decision-making. 26 points in the last three games. Rodgers, Mahomes, Brady et al never even do this over two games.
I'm really starting to believe that Wilson is over the hill at 33.
Have all the hits made Wilson stupid?

Something happened to him. I'm not sure he ever had good field vision, but all those hits certainly didn't help things. If it isn't actual brain damage, there's some kind of psychological impairment going on causing him to make ill-advised throws and not see open receivers.

Him talking makes me puke. Talking about how he loves these guys. Didn’t he give four teams to be traded to? He loves this team and guys so much he asked for a trade. Sold his oline down the road too.
He caused problems coming into the season. Still hasn’take any ownership of his distraction. And his crap play.
Super hard worker. Way more than others. You can see he’s pissed his legacy is tarnished.
He wanted out. Caused distractions. Holy CTSO. Still takes little to no responsibility.

Re: Have all the hits made Wilson stupid?
Wilson had a couple good years. Other than that, the LOB carried him during the first half of his career and has been bad the past 1-2 seasons. Once teams figured out to contain him in the pocket, there was not much he can do. The guy has always had a very limited short and intermediate passing game in the pocket. He relies on the big plays down the sidelines. In the past, a lot of the big chunk plays occurred because he was able to scramble outside the pocket extending the plays where receivers had 5-10 seconds to get open. That is nonexistent now along with the read-option, and rushing yards. I have been wanting to trade him for awhile now and have never been a big Russ fan. Last offseason was the perfect opportunity, Carroll and Schneider probably understood that too that's why there were rumblings. The guy rarely ever gets criticized for his play because the Seattle sports media is so enamored with him. It's usually the Oline, OC, or Carroll that gets the blame.

I honestly think Russ is purposely throwing the season to force his way out. He looks like a less mobile Trubisky out there

Yep, very Felix like career path only. Only Felix's decline didn't begin until his decline until his 11th season instead of his 10th. Of course Felix never took any shots to the head.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 5:38 amI've been wondering this for the last couple seasons.
