Seattle isn't taking a G at 16. As much as I love JPJ, and would consider him there, the Hawks feel they can get him or someone just as good later on.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 1:08 pmHere is the full article. Guards are getting PAID this week. Maybe its not crazy at 16 but if we could trade down to the 20s and still get him AND a 2nd rounder that would be ideal.

Re: Our first round pick poll
If he's as good as everyone is saying, then he won't be there at 16. I'm not expecting him to be.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 1:19 amFeel like there's lots of interest in Fautanu. Jets could trade down & take him too. Really can't go wrong either way. Him, JPJ or even Murphy. Gotta build the trenches. As much as Mac wants to add to that front 7. Still in favor of a trade down.

Re: Our first round pick poll
Penix has certainly lived a couple of football lives, like Nix, but his pressure avoidance defined a good portion of his career. His 1.9% sack rate ranks fifth out of 331, and his 6.7% sacks-to-pressure ratio ranks second. He almost never runs downfield either (his 1.8% scramble rate ranks 290th). In fact, he was one of the most likely quarterbacks in college football to turn a dropback into an actual pass.
That said, he knows how to maneuver in the pocket and/or escape it with ease. And the almost total lack of negative plays turns solid passing numbers - 103rd in completion rate (63.3%), 110th in yards per completion (12.9), 100th in TD-to-INT ratio (2.82) -- into something far stronger

Re: Our first round pick poll
This is amazing.....1993 was the last time we drafted a QB in the first two rounds.

Here a is compilation of our first round pick predictions. Lots of Huskies. Actually just two Huskies and a lot of Troy F. picks and one Penix pick.

Those numbers are career numbers so i don't know how they came up with the rankings. Is that all-time, or all current college QBs?
