Some Cincinnati fans still think second baseman Jonathan India is worth a Seattle starting pitcher:

Like I have said we could find a better hitter in the Country of India scouting Cricket matches than Jonathan India.
At least someone was sober enough to mention that there are at least 4 in-house options that are better. And I would add Haggerty, France, and Bliss to the list of possibles.

But, I don't know if some of our trade ideas aren't just as whacky. If I was the Cards I might have better allocated the 24 they are spending on bounce back attempts at Lance Lynn Last 2 years has been a 99 and a 77 ERA+, and Gibson ERA+ last 2 years has been an 87 and a 79. ANd instead traded for Marco and Gilbert at the cost of a young hitter. I said an innings eating Marco would be good for the back end and comparing him to these guys looks pretty good. And you get a huge upgrade going from Gibson or Lynn to Gilbert.

Gray, Gilbert, Montgomery, Mikolas, Marco would not be a bad rotation at all.

We will see how it turns out.

So Cal ripped TMobile, for whatever reason players don't seem to like it.
Another comment to hang your hat on is Raleigh's mention of Suarez going to a better park (offensively). It's well-documented that T-Mobile is one of the worst parks for hitters; it's where flyballs go to die in the gaps. However, players rarely use their platform to address it or take a few shots at the ballpark dimensions. That's why the Mariners frequently use the draft, develop, trade model because free-agent position players know the limitations of playing at T-Mobile Park, Raleigh just went on a limb and vocalized it.

Doesn't really matter why. It is tough to hit there so hitters don't like it. It isn't that they serve grasshoppers there.

So hilarious that A LOT of M's fans thought that there was a chance he would be a Mariner.
