Rangers have six tough games, against Milwaukee and Toronto.

So they’re still marginal.

But if the Ms finish WC3, they’d play the Astros, with a lousy offense.

Then again it Doesn't matter who play, we are losing so many series.

Hall of fame winning manager. 1st year there got them to a win. If only we could ever get a manager like that. Gotta think its part of the manager also no they dont play but look what Rangers manager is doing. His players love playing for him. No one wants to play for Dan!!!

Thier offense is healthy now though and they usually get red hot towards playoffs. Plus we would have to play on the road so easy series win for them.

Rangers losing so we wont lose any ground but cant fucking gain anything either.

My brain keeps telling me, "It's just a game, dude, and these guys aren't personally responsible for your soul-crushing emotional investment." But this team is putting a legitimate hit out on my love for baseball. I've never been so professionally ambivalent about the Mariners, or personally ready to ghost an entire sport.

Can I bear to watch this team circle the drain and blow another chance at the off-season?

That’s rhetorical.

I am aware that the best part about beating your head against a wall is that it feels so good when you stop.

He's going to be a free agent. He's not going to take that salaries at a pretty good year. I was wrong about him this year.
I havent really seen how his vesting option is structured, other than that it vests at 450pa. He can decline it?
It's only 8 million and he has 1.6 WAR. At 450 it becomes a player option which means he can exercise it but he won't he can get more than 8 million given he's going to finish with about two War. Less than 450 it's a mutual option which means the Mariners can opt out but that's going to be moot as you point out
Yeah if he can opt out, he's got millions of reasons to do so.

He proved to be the 30HR/600PA player ice claimed he was. Just a year late.

I'm still sticking by my predictions. We either miss the playoffs because we win less than 54% of out games or if we do make the playoffs, we'll be run out of town in the first round. Right now we are sitting at .525. Did Dipoto not build the team as he should have?
