would you consider it to have generated more or less offense, or could you tell? I believe that was my question before. I wondered if not having walls might actually increase offense

My guess is budget and trying to fit a baseball field in an already existing area with fencing.

I played at some weird ass places in my day in rural areas.

How about putting shrubs and small trees in the outfield just to make things a little more random and interesting?

I have always advocated for a moat filled with alligators for the warning track.

It was just the space that was there. The field is still in the same spot but they have since added a second closer fence. I think I saw two hit out in my 4 years there. Both right down the line. It was the only field we had so we used the area in deep center for the C-team to practice infield.

Well i don't know if the players union would go for that, but perhaps a babbling brook with little fishies would be okay.

Yep. We went camping at Fort Ebey in early August. one of my favorite spots.
