Basically, just what the tweet said. Jude tossed out some names:
LHP Hoby Milner, Free Agent
LHP Matt Strahm, Phillies
LHP JoJo Romero, Cardinals
LHP Jose Ferrer, Nationals
RHP Tyler Rogers, Free Agent

If your trading for Marte I still like the Baez idea too DT. I don't know why they wouldn't target Uceta & Cleavinger from TB or Mcgill & Uribe from Milwaukee. Go big or go home. Cheap fucks.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 4:21 pmMarte yes, but I have zero interest in Kwan and his noodle .705 OPS bat as a corner OFer. Zero idea why so many fans are in love with him. And why would the Guardians trade him if he is so great???Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 6:17 amIn his latest piece, Passan thinks the M's should trade for Kwan and Marte.

Here are a few other names the M’s are considering:
From what most people are saying about this is that these are names that have been discussed by the M’s. Jude is not just tossing out names that he arrived to on his own.
Let’s discuss:
RH: Tyler Rogers a submarine style guy. He performs well despite having aa mid 80s FB.

He a good pitcher but one you don’t want as a “fireman”. He doesn’t k anybody. He would be a good guy to use only as a clean start to the inning guy in the 6th or 7th. How much does he warrant in FA?
LH Matt Strahm: He is a good type. He is a high leverage type from the lefty side. The problem is he is a guy that averages 92 on the FB is in the last year of club control on a team that is looking to contend. He is owed 7.5 M for next year.
LH Jojo Romero. He has gotten good results lately. But he is a guy that averages 94 MPH on the FB. He is in his last year of CC and the Cards are pretty clearly in the sell vs buy mode. 119 career ERA+, I’d assume he’d be projected to earn 4-5 M.
LH Ferrer. He had an expected ERA of 3.6 last year which was much better than his mid 4’s was. He had the 64% ground ball rate and a 98 MPH FB. He has many years of CC.
FIP paints a prettier picture. 3.03 in 2025. FIP in 2024 was 2.76. I think the DC club would be looking to sell on # of years remaining. And the price might go higher than expected.
Given these choices I would not mind getting Tyler Rogers and either JoJo or Ferrer.

BP with additions:
Cl. Munoz
SU. Matt Brash
LH. Speier, Ferrer
RH. Buzzardo, Hancock, Vargas, Rogers
My assumptions here would be that you are taking a guy that should be better than his traditional stats suggest who has good stuff and you are banking on a bit of a confidence boost by pitching in T mobile increasing his performance to where it should be based on stuff and FIP. And because he is pre-arb he would be an MLB min guy. This allows you to spend pretty big on Tyler Rogers.
Rogers is not a swing and miss guy and to me that limits him in the $ potential And age (opinion). He has been really good though so would a 2 X 9M with an opt out with a 1M buyout work? That was the MLBTR guesstimate.

Yeah I just pretend the Sports section is a stand alone publication. Literally the only section I ever read.
