I had a chance to snag tickets for $45 a piece down here in Houston today.
Yeah, I think that Houston fans are saving up for the ALCS and maybe some night games next week, maybe for a game 5 on Monday. Lets hope they have to use that money elsewhere.

It might be just as cheap to fly to Houston, pay for 2 games and a hotel and fly back as it is to go to 2 games in Seattle.
That's kinda what I've been thinking too. They're saving up for the World Series.
Day game on Tues/Thur certainly doesn't help

It was walks, hitting at T Mobile and the fact that hitting in general declined this season. Ks aren't included though.
What I'm getting at is he added value to himself by striking out 13% instead of 16% while walking 11% instead of 8% over his previous season.

It will be interesting to see how far down the cumulative offensive numbers are.

Is it the concensus that it's the new balls they're using that led to the lack of offense league-wide?
Just saying that Ks aren't any different than any other type of out when calculating wRC+ or WAR. If he has the same slash line it does matter if he had a 13% K rate or a 31% K rate, he would have the same wRC+.
Yeah, I get that K's dont count directly, JP specifically just walked more and K'd less.

3% lower K%
3% higher BB%.

He turned K's into BB's in 2022- or, it turned out that way on the bottom line at least- which, along with decreased offense across the league- higher BB's is the only thing that led him to a higher wRC+, not more hits.

If he K'd 31% of the time we'd be having completely different conversations about him!

Can't imagine how it must feel to be Marco and Flexen, being left off the roster, while they watch Kelenic playing.
I’m rooting for the kid today. He needs a base hit. Come on boy wonder

Seattle is ridiculously over priced for everything. I have a couple of buddies, one a Seahawk season ticket holder and the other a big 49er fan. They used to go to the 49er game together every year in Seattle. Recently? Have started flying to San Francisco for the WEEKEND and watching there. They claim it is cheaper! Stupid. Airfare, food and drinks, game tickets and two nights in a hotel is less in Frisco than tickets, food and drinks and one night in a hotel in Seattle.

This weekend the Chargers and Rams both play home games. You can get Rams tickets for $39, Chargers tickets, against the fucking Broncos in PrimeTime? Less than $43. The Seahawks play the Cardinals at home. Tickets start at $95, and I find that hard to believe since I have never found tickets that cheap, but still. More than double what you would pay in LA.

Especially not at the plate! LOL
Marco: .217 with a .565 OPS

https://www.baseball-reference.com/play ... ma02.shtml

JK in 2022: .141 with .534 OPS...

Even Flexen has a .167 career BA!!!!
Marco would also probably be a pretty good fielder, although you may have to stash him in LF with his arm, LOL.

More like seeing Matt fucking Festa and Penn Murfee on the roster. Flexen is better than both against the Astros, can get both Ls and Rs out. Boggles the mind
