If we get anywhere near your projections there hope that we could actually spend at the deadline for a couple of top shelf playersD-train wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 4:55 pmFG on the Pax signing:

Plenty of quality players on the market this offseason. We shouldn't have to be scrambling at the deadline for the best we can find.Coeurd’Alene J wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 5:27 pmIf we get anywhere near your projections there hope that we could actually spend at the deadline for a couple of top shelf playersD-train wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 4:55 pmFG on the Pax signing:

They've been there for the taking all offseason. Dipoto is setting us up to miss the playoffs by a couple games.

Is 1 win really worth $10 mil in today's MLB? I can't imagine how 1 win could generate that much in revenue unless it was the difference between missing or making the play-offs, which obviously isn't likely.

Paxton has value as both a trade chip or even a Qualifying Offer if he pitches very well.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 6:27 pmIs 1 win really worth $10 mil in today's MLB? Not quite as black and white as being worth 1 win.

Yes, one of the family favorites. Watched it probably 10 times. My favorite chapter is "the Gal who got Rattled".D-train wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 5:02 pmHas anyone watched this on NetFlix. Awesome collection of short Western stories...

I watched it... Best thing on NetFlix in my opinion this year was the Queen's Gambit. From a novel by Walter Tevis, same guy who wrote the Hustler and the Color of Money.Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 7:33 pmYes, one of the family favorites. Watched it probably 10 times.
