I could see the Yankees being the best offer. They wouldn't have wanted Maris to sign somewhere else the next year for 10 years and being remembered as anything other than a Yankee. They have another new legacy to protect now.

Spotrac has them at 150 mil committed for 2023 right now, but there are a whole bunch of arb guys listed there as well. Gleyber is Arb 3 and I don't think they like him a whole lot, so he might be a guy to target in a deal.

I doubt they will be the best offer - the problem is they will be close and a team may have to blow their offer out of the water to make him sign with them. If its 275mill with the skanks and 300mill with somebody else he will re-sign with the skanks. A team in that position is going to have to go 350 or something like that.
