He was hitting a solid .279, an extreme rarity for a minor league call-up, I was stunned how well he’s hit, but alas, he’s out of commission.
No joy in Crudville.

Did look like we finally had a guy who could put it together.
Long looks good-ish.. Athletic at the very least. And tiny. Worked for Pedroia, who knows.

You know this is just a continuation of M's top prospects getting injured.
Alex Jackson bat to face, Lewis broken leg, and on and on.
Crawford just keeps that trend alive.
Interesting statistic: JP Crawford got his 6th double of the season today. Mallex Smith got his second... Hope the guy actually figured it out.

If Long can be anything like pre-Mariner's Figgins then Shed will be a big part of the team for years to come. They are the exact same size, 5'8".
In the minors, Figgy has more speed and has the switch-hitting advantage. Long shows more power. They both have career .274 batting averages in the lower levels, Shed's OPS is .795 to Chone's .731.
