I don't know if he wants a MASH unit but he is the one driving that bullshit. I'm not even sure Olsen wants to play football anymore. What about Hunter Bryant?HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 9:38 pm
Does he want a MASH unit at TE seriously. Been looking at prospects there are a few that stand out.
-Harrison Bryant ; FAU
-Cheyenne O'Grady ; Arkansas
-Adam Trautman ; Dayton
Seems the best bet is to wait till day 2 or even day 3. Kelce was day 2 & Kittle was day 3 so no telling we could find talent there at some point. Just don't trust what we have at the moment.

Courtesy of ESPN+ (Subs required):
Scout No. 1's pick: Harrison Bryant, TE, Florida Atlantic
HT: 6-foot-5 | WT: 242
2019 stats: 65 catches for 1,004 yards and seven TDs
Where Kiper ranks him: No. 3 TE
The NFL has become a game of matchups, and that's what makes Bryant such an appealing prospect. Bryant could serve as the queen on a chessboard because of his size and explosiveness. He stood out when he was matched up against both safeties and linebackers. He showed that he understands how to use his size to create separation, leaning into defenders at the top of his routes before breaking the opposite direction. Bryant's long arms combined with his 6-foot-5 frame made it easy for quarterbacks to hit him in the passing game.
What they're saying: "He can be George Kittle 2.0. He can get that status. You can spread him out. He's good at route running, pass catching and blocking. Put him in the right situation and he can be explosive. He's really polished. He's athletic, runs good routes, can catch over the middle of the field. He's a better blocker than anticipated."
Re: NFL free agents
Hawks have a TE better than Kelce or Kitty litter on their roster now. He has a problem staying healthy. Total BS saying that a college TE is going to he like either of those guys. It's a crap shoot. That being the case. Hunter Btyamt is as good as any of them.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 12:14 am

Bryant feels like an upgrade over Hollister, that is for sure. Not sure he blocks the way Pete likes, but my guess is he is better at that than Jimmy was.

Re: NFL free agents
have not seen Harrison, but can say pretty confidently that Hunter is NOT > Hollister. Hunter had an athletic advantage in college that he will not have in pros. Standing only 6-2, he is not as big a target as Hollister, is not any faster, and less consistent with his hands. pretty much a relatively slow big wideout or slot receiver.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 11:23 pmWhich one Hunter or Harrison?Michael K. wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 3:46 pmBryant feels like an upgrade over Hollister, that is for sure. Too injury prone, it's either Hooper or draft.ThePro wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 11:41 pmHunter Henry is a FA. Spend some $$$ Hawks57reasons wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 11:35 pm

Then they can get him on the cheap...maybe.
