No longer an NBA fan but pretty amazing that two teams who have not won a title in a combined 106 years are playing. Suns never have. Lot of history though. Check out the Pics of the leader players. Funny I remember more guys that played in the 70s 80s than the past 10-15 years.

I didn't even realize that the Suns team that made the Finals in 1976 went 42-40, and it's not like the 1978 Sonics team that went 5-17 and then turned it around, those Suns were a straight-up .500 team. There's absolutely no way a .500 NBA team like that could do it today.

Couple other things I, and perhaps everyone here, didn't know: Nate McMillian is the coach for the Hawks and he got them to the conference finals, and Quin Snyder (Mercer Island) is the coach for the Jazz and they had the best regular-season record.

So these Suns were terrible for four years, sub-.500 last year, and now here they are, and without a Magic- or Bird-type draft steal.

Man I remember vividly when the Sonics drafted Nate. He turns 57 in a few weeks.

Saw that. He is one of the few good guys in the NBA.

I won't be surprised if he is criticized for patronizing Chick fil a

You really just can't stop yourself, can you? Nobody has said anything in this thread that should have led to you saying that. I mean seriously, who are you even arguing with?

Lol... Who said anything about this thread? Sorry but I have sensed a bit of a anti NBA mood around here. Doesn't seem much love for the league or it's players anymore. Having a championship team with players like that might actually be kinda fun, who knows

So you're being contrarian over a peripheral conception of yours. If that isn't the definition of a passive/aggressive ninny, I don't know what is.

So first we have to get a team, something we haven't had for 13 years and with zero indication that we will have any time soon and then they have to win a championship, something the Sonics did once in over 40 seasons and then the best player has to video himself going through a chick fil A drive through. Hmmm I don't think you quite got me fired up about the NBA being fun again just yet.

According to some guy i heard on KJR a while ago there's a reasonable chance the NBA will expand some time in the next 5 years. 🤞
