Prove God exists and I'll fall in line. It's gonna take a whole lot more than a bunch of pretentious, corrupt men claiming they know what God says and book of a bunch of stolen or made up stories to do it.
Do you think when 99% believed the same things, it was because they were less intelligent or discerning than people these days? Just went along with the crowd?
I don't think anyone can prove God exists to someone else because the entire point is faith.
A lot of people on your side only seem to believe in God once they realize how real evil actually is.
I grew up in church, never saw any "miracles" or had any particular feelings that proved to me God was real either. So, I drifted away, saw what I needed to of the world. To me, I'd always felt like all the rules and commandments, all just too hard to get through this life and make it anyways, why even try? It wasn't until I actually studied myself that I realized that being "Christian" boils down to Romans 10:9, "If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." It's not some impossible obstacle course.
It took actually realizing that there's less than 1% chance that Jesus Christ wasn't real (that % according to Grok), based on historical evidence, and that the lineages are documented and show that people like Abraham also existed before I realized the Bible wasn't just some book. The people weren't fictional. The people of the Middle East still live and fight based on their lineages from Abraham. Israel even claims they have a right to the land because of it.
What has happened is western countries have fallen away (or been pushed) from believing in God because we're too pre-occupied with phones, tv shows, and thinking we don't need anything else.
Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all rely on the Bible. Islam adds on the Quran to their belief in the Bible. Muslims believe Jesus was a great prophet and will return. Judaism adds on the Talmud (the teachings of the Pharisees) to the Torah (which is only the first 5 books of the Bible. Jews deny Christ was the messiah, which is why the Bible- the part they don't believe in- calls them antichrists.)
I don't think anyone's talking anyone into believing in God. Just a journey each person takes on their own, or not.
It's like me saying, "Well, prove God doesn't exist and I'll fall in line and start doing degenerate stuff too."
