There were things that Trump said that were untrue, but arguably harmless (inauguration crowd, size of electoral college victory). And then there were untruths that really mattered for policy. An example I remember (I watched Trump say this in a debate last fall) is that China paid for tariffs, and that he (Trump) took that money and gave it to our farmers. It's true that money went to the farmers. It's not true that the money came from China. It wasn't a slip of the tongue; he made the same claim other times and advisers (like Navarro) defended him.

So the Wharton (the name at that time was Wharton School of Finance and Economy) grad is either ignorant of one of the most basic things in international economics, or he lied. I got lied to by the President of the United States. My family and friends in the Midwest who are farmers got lied to by the President of the United States.

Trump definitely isn't the 1st President to lie - nor will he be the last...... it's just odd that his supporters take in his verbal garbage and consume it like it's fact. If he'll lie about being 'Michigan Man of the Year' or about his inaugeration crowd size or that Biden would 'hurt the bible' and 'hurt God' (what in the actual fuck does that mean anyway?)....... he'll lie about anything, including policy (and as gil said, he did).

He can't help it - he's an entertainer at heart. He wants to be the guy everyone loves so he'll just say whatever. It's fine when it's a buddy at your BBQ or your drunk Uncle at Christmas, not so much when it's the President of the United States.

Where is Mexico's money for the wall? Where is the evidence of windmill noises causing cancer? Where is the evidence that he won the popular vote in 2016 or there was any voting fraud in 2020? Where is the evidence that "China owns Biden"?

I don't know about windmill noise causing cancer, but I do know that over all it takes more energy to build, maintain and operate a windmill that it ever generates. We have them all over here, because the West Side Dems need "clean energy". I guess cheap power from Dams just isn't enough.

The last thing any body should talk about, when trying to accuse one political party of something to make theirs look better? Is "they lie." They all fucking lie. My issue with Biden is he has had an entire lifetime in politics to make changes, and all the has changed is his bank account. And don't get me started about Inslee and his clean energy bullshit, or his "policy" during COVID. He weaponized a damn virus to win an election, and thanks to two West Side counties? It worked.

Sorry Woody, I really enjoy back and forths with you, and I really don't want to sound like an ass, but it confuses me how anyone, especially from this side of the State, can support a party that pulls the shit the Dems have. Trump was a freaking cartoon character, and if he had laid off Twitter and learned to speak with any bit of respect? He might have won another election. I will take where the economy was and the fact that race wasn't an issue until right before the Dems needed it to be to win an election, and suffer through his bullshit, if I don't have to go through another Spring and Summer like last year.

Do you really believe it is a coincidence that racial unrest was as bad as it needed to be, right before an election year where the Dems believe they need anyone that isn't white to hate Republicans? Do you really think a toolbag like Inslee should be able to use a fucking world wide pandemic to push his green policies? I mean, he is caught on freaking tape saying it! Do you really believe the woman that told Biden he would bow down to China because they gave his son money was really the best choice for VP, or was she a black woman that would swing votes?

I am as bad as anyone else in this country, because I have voted against someone in probably damn near every election since I have been able to vote. But it blows me away how a party that uses a pandemic and racial tension as a political weapon can basically get away with it scott free. We have West Siders pointing fingers at people over here for mask policies not being followed, and if you look at the counties that may move back to phase 2? Besides Yakima and Spokane? They are all West Side. So, do masks really work, or is it actually this side full of hicks that are doing things right?
