Sorry Woody, I really enjoy back and forths with you, and I really don't want to sound like an ass, but it confuses me how anyone, especially from this side of the State, can support a party that pulls the shit the Dems have. Trump was a freaking cartoon character, and if he had laid off Twitter and learned to speak with any bit of respect? He might have won another election. I will take where the economy was and the fact that race wasn't an issue until right before the Dems needed it to be to win an election, and suffer through his bullshit, if I don't have to go through another Spring and Summer like last year.

I am as bad as anyone else in this country, because I have voted against someone in probably damn near every election since I have been able to vote. But it blows me away how a party that uses a pandemic and racial tension as a political weapon can basically get away with it scott free. We have West Siders pointing fingers at people over here for mask policies not being followed, and if you look at the counties that may move back to phase 2? Besides Yakima and Spokane? They are all West Side. So, do masks really work, or is it actually this side full of hicks that are doing things right?
I do think that 'clean energy' should be a main focus for the forseeable future. Not b/c I think the world will end due to Climate Change, but oil/coal/etc are finite and the global resource will eventually run out. Solar energy can not only reduce people's bills (getting rid of Time of Use rates), but you can make money off of it (hopefully all states will get a NEM program going). Sunlight is free - it can be used even in times of natural disaster and of course it will create jobs. Over 250K jobs in solar existed in 2018 (can't be outsourced) and it's continuing to boom. It's time to slowly weed out coal mines/oil fields and pivot to renewable energy - in my opinion.
You say that Biden "weaponized" a virus to win an election. I'm not going to disagree with that, but Trump did the same shit in 2016. He weaponized the border - Hispanics bad, they rape and murder people, etc. Trump even tried to weaponize religion by saying Biden would "hurt the bible" and "hurt God". It's what politicians have been doing forever - find something that scares swing voters and move them to your side with some BS cure for it (like the wall).
Trump just pukes lies from his mouth all day, every day. Even stupid ones like winning 'Michigan Man of the Year' or the Boy scouts called me to tell me that my speech to them was the best ever given to them. How fucking petty is that? Then when he gets called out on his lies, it's 'fake news'. My point earlier was simply, Trump is a liar. A pathological liar who will lie about anything and everything. There are supporters of his in here that think he doesn't lie OR his lies just don't really matter which is a joke - a sad joke.
The GOP has completely changed to something that is not even recognizable. Who would've that 20 years ago that someone who dodged the draft, inherited millions from his daddy, cheated thousands out of their money with his scams (Trump University), cheated on 3 wives, lived most of his life in NYC, not religious, and bankrupted all kinds of businesses would be the face of the party? Trump couldn't even describe anything about the bible (new testament or old testament) when interviewed -- he had the streets cleared so he could waddle over to a church to hold a bible up for a photo op - how could any religious person support that? Yet they do - he's a con man and he's conned A LOT of people with his lies.
