From US COVID-19 vaccine progress, https://usafacts.org/visualizations/cov ... er-states/

At least 144,894,586 people or 44% of the population have received at least one dose. (I'm going to presume some of these people figure they need only one dose. Idiots.)

Overall, 93,246,540 people or 28% of the population have been fully vaccinated.

In Washington State, 4.6 million doses have been received and we've used 84% of the 5.6 million doses available. Roughly 60% of our 7.6 million population. At what point can we say that those with the vaccine can throw away their masks? And at what point do we tell those who refuse to become vaccinated that they are on their own and the rest of us don't have to babysit you? Think flu vaccines. Do we all wear masks because we might give the flu to someone else?

Maybe I'm becoming selfish and an old curmudgeon, but if someone makes a conscious decision to NOT get vaccinated, why should I have to wear a mask to "protect" them from themselves? Sure there are valid reasons for not getting the vaccine. But isn't it your responsibility to protect yourself if that is the case?

Yes, if you have the flu or even a cold you should social distance, that's one point people should take away from this.

Same goes if you have covid.

If not, go about your lives.

Let's face it. No one knows how
to protect yourself from this virus.
Doctors don't know how to avoid
this virus, how to cure it, etc.
Can't blame them. It's a weird
time for us.
I wonder if praying would help?
Sure wouldn't hurt!

Florida Governor is allowing fully vaccinated individuals to go maskless in public. Meanwhile in other news, Joe Biden is mandating masks for everyone on all domestic flights AND public transportation because, well, we need someone to tell us how to live.

Biden did? Schools are open now!? My kids go back to full time this week, and have been on rotating days for months. Is Biden serious? It is my understanding that even this state is back to a normal High School sports schedule next year. My son will be a Freshman and their preseason football practices start in June...but Biden doesn't know for sure if we will be BACK to school in the Fall? Is he trapped in May of 2020?

He said that they "should probably all be open", not "might open" --- you get fun spin here in the right wing M's forum.
President Joe Biden said Friday that K-12 schools "should probably all be open" in the fall for in-person learning after more than a year of most of the country's kids facing the challenge of remote instruction due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"Based on the science and the (US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), they should probably all be open. There's not overwhelming evidence that there's much of a transmission among these people, young people," Biden told NBC.

They should probably all be open NOW.

So, yeah, given the destruction these Dem governors seem intent on inflicting on their states with unnecessary lockdowns, chances are not all will listen to the obvious science.

The teachers don't want to go back. They've had great vacations. Dealing with stupid unions now. Of course they'll milk it.
