If SS doesn't go into the locker room, shut the door, and start calling out players, this season is headed down to the level where the Angels are gonna be. And maybe, just maybe, SS will get canned!

There's only a slight difference between "good hitters on that team" and "this club tries to wiggle out of getting no hit once every 4 games."Juliooooo wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 4:14 amThey also had some good hitters on that team.IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 4:11 amThey had a .254 avg in 2018... good for 8th in baseball.

As I recall, the Mariners hitting got instantly better right after Edgar became hitting coach but eventually regressed.
In any case... If you're the hitting coach of this team... Seriously just quit.

This was in response to the average and if the hitting coach was the reason. Cruz, Cano and Segura on the team who were good hitters before and after working with Edgar.IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 4:16 amThere's a difference between "good hitters on that team" and "this club tries to wiggle out of getting no hit once every 4 games."Juliooooo wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 4:14 amThey also had some good hitters on that team.IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 4:11 am

Healy probably benefited the most, but wasn't great. Seager had one of his worst years in 2018. Gordon hit for a decent average to help that overall average go up, but was one of the worst years of his career and he never walked. It was the worst .268 you could imagine for a player.
