It would sure be nice if we had some contact hitters on this team, instead of everyone worried about exit velocity and launch angles.
How about bunting away from the shift to get on base?
Was gonna say, blame laker but I think it could be the general approach to hitting the franchise adopted. And that goes back to when Edgar was moved out. Think it got real technical, promoted home runs. Deal is pitchers have adjusted. I think it's the same thing around baseball, the Mariners seem like the poster boys

Fool me once shame on you.
Fool me twice shame on me.

Shame on you Jerry Dipoto you pick losers over and over.
Shame on you Scott Servais because you only coach a defeatist culture.
Shame on the vets...Seager and Haniger who can't get a God Damn hit to save their lives.

Hmmm, as I was leaving work at the end of the 2nd inning, I think I said this:

Oh dear. We're being no hit again..................
Why did I even rush home to see such feebleness? Ineptitude? Heartlessness? Ship without a rudder? No soul? etc., etc., etc.

I'm sure Laker isn't totally to blame, but you have to fire him. You cannot allow the hitting coach to keep working after 2 no-hitters during 25% of a single season.

They're probably not firing Servais, but a message must be sent.

Long season but sure leaves a knot in stomach as they send Marmo and Torrens out there each night along with others. I don’t care who is AAA but pull Godoy up and someone else to play, don’t give a shit who just a warm body. They will at least bring energy and can’t do worse. DFA Marmo and option Torrens.

From where I'm looking there's only one way for this franchise to go and that is up.

The only time anything will change is when there are more angry fans than apologists.

There will be many many people hiding behind the, "We didn't expect to be good" BS and making excuses for these guys.

Which of these guys did we really need to get a look at to see they were good or not? Marmolejos? Haggerty? Newsome? Lail? Swanson?

Come on, it was never about "seeing the kids" and always about pocketing the $30 mil they should have spent to supplement this roster.

Maybe they should hire Lorena Martin to be the hitting coach. Also, perhaps consider building a cement dome over T-Mobile and installing ovens to heat up the balls.
