Jay Bruce trade.
How did we get Jay Bruce?
We drafted him in 1999. 47th round. :)
He was 12. Right off his Little League team. :)

I think we see Ian McKinney pitch for the Mariners at some point this year. He's really doing well in Arkansas. Right now he's 7 IP, 11 K's. 4 H, 1 BB, and 1 HR. He had 9 K's in 5.0 innings in each of his first 2 starts.

Remember that Scheiner was part of the Robinson Cano, Edwin Diaz package...
Jay Bruce trade.
How did we get Jay Bruce?
December 3, 2018: Traded (Jay Bruce) by the New York Mets with Gerson Bautista, Justin Dunn, Jarred Kelenic and Anthony Swarzak to the Seattle Mariners for Robinson Cano, Edwin Diaz and cash.

June 2, 2019: Traded (Jay Bruce) by the Seattle Mariners with cash to the Philadelphia Phillies for Jake Scheiner (minors).

We'd be better off with Bruce at 1B now than what we have. At least we got scheiner though. Bruce is probably available

Was just going to post on him.

3 starts 1.59 ERA 0.94 WHIP 29Ks in 17 innings. Dude's ancient at 26 yo. Come on make his day. How in the F can JD say we have no other options than a BP day when we have this guy and a bunch of scrubs on the 40 man that can be sent packing.

Don't look now but Rizzo was 2 for 4 with a HR and is now at .282/.896  AND he is playing second base. btw to paraphrase Butch in Pulp Fiction and HawkBowler from the politics forum. Is Shed dead? Shed's dead baby, Shed's dead.....

Damn the top 3 hitters at Modesto are like the inverse of the bottom of our lineup. Don't forget Marte is only 18.5 years old. I think he might jump to top 50 overall next round of prospect rankings...
