I'm hoping he finds his form again like Walker did last year. Glad to see Jerry loading up the arms race. Gilbert, Newsome, and Dunn are great plug and plays should anyone in the rotation get injured.
Forgot about Newsome. I would say Dunn is our 11th best starter right now.
Cold takes exposed
That would pretty much equate to thinking somebody's a bullpen guy right?

Until Dunn added 4mph as a starter, I think everybody thought he was bullpen-bound.

We'll see if he keeps this up. I still think bullpen might be his place long term. I just saw the post right above yours from months ago and thought it was funny. I've always been higher on Dunn than most, but I'm not ready to call him an ace after 1/4 of a season, but the longer he keeps this up, the more chance he sticks as a starter long term. He is exceeding expectations though. Last year anyone would have laughed if you stated that Sheffield might be bullpen bound. He regressed a bit early. Its still a long season though, and time will tell how these players develop.

DT and I have had a friendly back and forth about Dunn and Swanson since they both arrived though, and that was what prompted me making that statement. He was higher on Swanson, and I was higher on Dunn. Both are proving to be good returns though and proving both of us right this year.

We have a couple #3's and the rest are #5's.

If Gilbert can be 97-98 consistently, maybe he's a #1, but he's seemed awfully easy to hit hard so far.

I think that Kikuchi is teetering on #2 status. His ERA isn't great, but his other numbers are really good. Its the HR's thats been his biggest problem. He seems to be more confident with each start though.

I think you Tonya Hardinged Swanson's groin once he finally started pitching well. Stay away from my guy's groin!

I never hated Swanson, just didn't think he had what it took stuff wise as a righty that throws 91-92. That extra 5-6 mph certainly changed things though
