Has to be hard for players like Haniger and Seager who actually want to win, but the org keeps pushing off any attempt to go for it.

Add 3 more good players to this core and we're probably pulling games like this out.

Instead, they watched Dipoto sit on his thumbs until all the talent was gone in free agency and now they're suiting up next to bums. Has to be demoralizing. Those guys have to be hoping they're traded somewhere that actually wants to win.
Seager wants to win? I don't follow.... I see guys like Crawford, Trammell, France, Fraley, Walton trying their guts out to produce.. I see Kelenic dying with every failed AB. I even see Haniger trying, just trying to stay healthy so he can play... Seager wants to hit home runs regardless of the situation.... He's got his money, his spot in the lineup, his horse farm, his family.... But Seager? Blame Dipoto? I don't see it. I'd rather watch the young guys.... at least there's some emotion...

Classis SS and then TT spews the party line parroting his fearful leader.........Iglesias had a 4.29 ERA when he came into the game.
“I have to give Iglesias a ton of credit,” manager Scott Servais said. “He made huge pitches against the heart of our lineup. There wasn’t a whole lot to hit. He executed and we couldn’t quite get it done.”

Iglesias worked a 1-2-3 ninth, including strikeouts of Jarred Kelenic and Jose Godoy to complete the six-out save, punctuating the accomplishment with a scream and both fingers pointed to the sky.

“He’s their closer for a reason,” said outfielder Taylor Trammell, who started off the eighth inning with a double to right field. “That’s what they are built to do. I spent time with him in the Reds organization. He’s got electric stuff.”

Zunino now has 1.5 WAR and TO has 1.4 WAR. Z would be tied with Mitch for the team lead and TO would be second place.

The next week and a half are bringing us cookies from the baseball gods with Detroit and the Twins locked in a battle for last place. Only the Cleveland Indians should give us a bit of trouble. If we can manage to whip these angels for 2 we could give us all a false sense of hope till the Florida team eliminates all hope

I guess I'd say in the way that any baseball player that's been stuck on the Mariners and wants to win a World Series before they retire, yeah, I think Seager wants to win.

Resigned to the fact his team didn't do what it took to try and win when they had the chance, also yes.
