Golden Knights history update

Post by DavidGee24 » Sat Jun 26, 2021 8:35 pm

First year: Stanley Cup finalists
Second year: first round elimination
Third year: conference finalists
Fourth year: conference finalists (just eliminated)

With even more of an advantage than Vegas had, Ron Francis had better not screw this up.

I put the odds of Ron Francis being a more significant Sports icon for d train than his uncle russ at negative infinity.

This is Seattle, so I'd say it will be 20 years before the Kraken make a conference final and 50 to make a Stanley Cup.

You know what I just realized? It only took the Sonics ten years to make the Finals and eleven to win the championship. In a 22-team league that's really impressive.

And the Seahawks made the AFC title game in their 8th season although it took 30 years to make it to a SB.

I guess what i should have said was "This is new leftist dystopian Seattle...".

The Kraken don't even have any players yet but they will still make the Playoffs before the M's will.

I doubt that, but it is certainly not unlikely.

Oh, they will, they're going to get a lot of good players in the expansion draft (not a bunch of Bill Steins and Dick Poles), two of the top backup goalies who are good enough to start in most teams, they have the #2 pick in the amateur draft, and the most money to spend on free agents in a market where top players are going to WANT to play in Seattle.
