A lot of good thoughts.... I think we can all agree that Dipoto lost a little of the confidence and good will of the fanbase, management, and players.... The next six months of his activity will be under greater scrutiny. If Gilbert, Lewis, Raleigh, Toro, Torrens and Kelenic finish strong, of course, he'll rebuild his capital....

.500 / .526 / 1.000 = 1.526 OPS as an M 5 games.
JK: He is contributing about every game now
1/2 2BB today but has got on base in 7 of his last 8 games he has added 70 points to his OPS going from .351 to .420
Last 8 games .214 /.353 / .321 7 RBI and 5 runs
You have to learn to walk before you can run!
If JK starts going all Toro mower un us an a few weeks we could have a problem finding ABS for deserving hitters.
M's OPS+
1. Toro 321 2B
2. Fraley 143 OF
3. Haniger 127 OF
4. France 121 1B
5. Torrens 110 DH
6. Lewis 107 OF
7. Seager 106 3B
8. JP 97 SS
9. Murphy 89 C
10. Cal last 2 weeks .806 OPS C
11. Dillon Moore 0.8 WAR OPS 100 points higher on the road, He should provide days off for every non-catcher or pitcher on the team. utility
12. JK , Trammell, Shed, Bauers, I don't know but I would probably like to see the prospect getting everyday Abs even if they have proven they can kill it in AAA but that decision in 2-3-4 weeks away with Lewis.

The only player that JD didn't get was Seager.Pharmabro wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 4:43 amIf Toro keeps this up?AT Fresno wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 2:15 amA lot of good thoughts.... And I am sure if the players see that they added a young Jose Altuve?

Getting traded by the first place Astros? That's my point, you can either look at things positively or negatively, that's the thing you can control
Re: Do you have confidence in Dipoto? or his plan?
It would be like us trading JK for a two month rental though the A's will like make the WC game.

For me it's not about the money. It's about smart decisions.
Billy Beane and crew are doing something right in Oakland.
We've outspent them for the last 20 years and never made the postseason.
They've made 10 trips in that span.
We are like the little brother that gets all the handmedowns of MLB...GM's, coaches, players.
Angels kicked JD to the curb.
We picked him up and his side kick SS who had never coached before that.
They can pick em' they just can't get em' ready for the show.
Farm is better yes but we haven't exactly met the endgoal have we?
2015-2021 Jerry owns that.
He might be a good stats guy but he sucks as people person.
These latest moves imho back that up.
So do I have confidence in Jerry Dipoto? Never really did. He has yet to change my mind.
I like some of the young ball players we have right now. Will they win despite the incompetence of management? Who knows?
This last road trip was an absolute face plant by the bullpen. Coincidental? I think not.

So what's the deal with Castillo? When the trade was made all i heard here is that he is a really solid late-game reliever, better than Graveman, now all i'm hearing is that he is out of shape, slow, and has low spin rates on his pitches.

That's what happens when you give up a walk off in your second game with a team.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 3:05 pmSo what's the deal with Castillo?
