His low spin rates are a fact. Has nothing to do with opinion. It's either true or it's not. Black or white.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 3:08 pmThat's what happens when you give up a walk off in your second game with a team.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 3:05 pmSo what's the deal with Castillo? When the trade was made all i heard here is that he is a really solid late-game reliever, better than Graveman, now all i'm hearing is that he is out of shape, slow, and has low spin rates on his pitches.
Do you have confidence in Dipoto? or his plan?

Sure, but what does spin rate matter if you're getting outs?TraderGary wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 10:44 pmHis low spin rates are a fact. Has nothing to do with opinion. It's either true or it's not. That chick really has a thing for Diego...
gotta love Libtard Landing.Few pitchers in the game have his unteachable follow-through, either, as he violently, yet somehow gracefully, whips his entire body back to earth before catching himself on a pas de cheval down from the air. Which, speaking of chevals, Isabelle would like me to note that Castillo is “built like a wildly overbred quarter horse.”

I hadn't viewed it from that perspective. Good point.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 5:14 amGetting traded by the first place Astros? That's my point, you can either look at things positively or negatively, that's the thing you can control

I lost respect for Jerry in the last couple weeks, I do however believe he has a plan for this team and I intend to support that plan at least thru next year. Something else I have considered after Jerry and his trades is that this team is playing decent baseball, given our negative run differential and all the rookies in the lineup one thing I have not really considered and that is SS has this team playing very well in fact far above what I thought possible this year. This young team is playing great baseball and that is on SS. After he got all pissed off in that first Astros game it made me realize that he is probably the unsung glue that holds this together....now I know it’s individual players exceeding expectations but it still requires a manager that they respect and play for....With that thought in mind I will endeavor to respect SS a whole lot more than I ever have before....He may eventually be replaced by a far better leader but today this young group is actually playing very well for him..........

Interesting...I think how SS is viewed by the players is probably a lot different than how he is viewed here. And that might be in part a generation gapCoeurd’Alene J wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 3:37 amI lost respect for Jerry in the last couple weeks, I do however believe he has a plan for this team and I intend to support that plan at least thru next year. He seems to have changed a lot lately in terms of being animated in the dugout. Never seen him like this before. I know it doesn't matter what we think of him but its still great to see.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 4:11 amInteresting...I think how SS is viewed by the players is probably a lot different than how he is viewed here.
