We had relaxed some security measures recently to check why a poster could not log in which appear to have been exploited. The administrator account was locked out and our database was deleted. At one point there was nothing left, literally.
The site that carries our hosting was able to restore to a previous saved point, which fortunately was near the end of the month.
Will need some help reconstructing the competition results since/including 8/29.
Everything appears to be secured now fortunately, apologies for any inconvenience trying to access the site last night.
All appears well today, everything seems to be functioning as it should again.

Re: UPDATE ON FORUM
What, sounds like they only back up the data once a month. Not good. The site that carries our hosting was able to restore to a previous saved point, which fortunately was near the end of the month.
Re: UPDATE ON FORUM
If I remember correctly (it's been almost 7 years since I stopped doing this stuff), full backups are done periodically - weekly or twice weekly was a preferred interval, with periodic incremental snapshots being done to supplement that. So, if a database was lost, the last good full backup would be restored, and then incrementals until the db was whole again. I would agree if full backups are being done monthly, it's not good practice.
Inasfar as the the game thread competition, my 8/29 game thread won, and I lost the following night, so my total stands at 2-5.
Apart from that, the main thing I remember is D-Train telling Seth a couple of nights ago to stop drinking and posting at the same time.
