Well, it shows you he just wanted out of UW for a reason.

Because he knew his recruits sucked?

With Helton gone from USC, I thing it would really set the tone if we hired Helton as a consultant.....right now. That would let both the OC know that he will be replaced if he doesn't start to make something happen, as well as letting Jimmy know that he is easily replaceable.

That hire would also give us an edge with his "current status/contacts" with the highly recruited kids that USC is hoping for this next class.

Helton out at USC - Chris Peterson is apparently itching to get back in the game - he may be the next USC coach.

The more i think about it, the clearer it becomes that Chris Petersen completely fucked over UW football and its fans. All that shit about losing his passion for being a coach due to media scrutiny and the increasingly cut-throat recruiting landscape, and he's been putting his name out there for the USC job? USC where the media scrutiny and recruiting pressure is even greater than it was here? Fuck that lying POS. And whose advice more than anyone else was Jen relying on when she hired Lake and then promoted him to head coach? It's pretty clear CP didn't give a damn what happened to Husky football after he stepped down.

Hell, i wouldn't be surprised if Petersen viewed UW as nothing more than a stepping stone from day one.

Your reading an awful lot into a comment about what some guy says he is "hearing". No source listed, no quotes from CP. I have no idea if he ends up coaching again or not but if he does it won't be because he viewed UW as a stepping stone. He could have been at USC years ago if that was his goal. He wouldn't even interview with them.

So you don't think he's interested in the USC job?

I don't think he is interested at all. He turned down both Oregon and USC in the past, for a reason. He doens't want that type of a job. Washington was too high profile for him.

I haven't listened to the Brock and Salk podcast, but I will sure find time. Salk this morning on the radio saying this is as mad as he has ever seen from Brock. Brock could find good news in just about anything, but he is hearing it all over the Nation and then watching it, listening to boosters and alums? This is going to end badly.

I have no idea what the splash hire is to fix this, but we blew any and all momentum gained from a final four and a NYD bowl game after. USC and Washington are irrelevant. Their fans and boosters might not want to believe it, but besides a legacy at Washington....name the last big recruit to pick us over just about anyone else relevant?

Then, what do we do with that recruit? Sit his ass behind a pop gun undersized QB. You can't make this shit up. The football program makes our basketball program look good right now!

Let's not be hasty.
I certainly understand the anger....I have it as well. But to say that our basketball program is looking good compared to the football......Sounds like emotion.

But I hear ya.

Is Jim Mora currently employed, because that's probably the best they're gonna get at this point.
