Yeah but we have had to play two great teams like Michigan and.......
Did you see where Western Illinois only scored seven points on Montana too? That defense of theirs shuts down all the top college offenses!
NIU has already kicked a 1st quarter FG against Michigan. We not only have the worst offense in college football, it might he the worst since the invention of the forward pass!

This article in the times reminds me of the time Pete Carroll complained that the Bills didn't run the ball. Big shock that teams would look at a Jimmy Lake defense and think, gee, we should run the ball! If your name isn't Sumlin or Leach? You know that. Some how Norton and Pete watched the Bills last year and thought they might try to run the ball on us! Sheer stupidity.

If opponents don’t pass, the pass rush can’t produce — and the Huskies have managed just one total sack in their first two games.

If opponents don’t pass, they can’t be intercepted — and the UW defense has yet to force a turnover, ranking 124th nationally in turnover differential (-2).

If opponents don’t pass, coach Jimmy Lake’s parade of defensive backs can’t play to their potential.
I hate statements like that. It isn't that they DON'T pass, it is that they don't fucking HAVE to pass!
the Husky front seven has been severely exposed, surrendering 235 rushing yards per game and 5.22 yards per carry. In a 31-10 loss at Michigan last weekend, the Wolverines ran at will — producing 56 attempts for 343 yards and four rushing touchdowns, while bothering to pass only 15 times.
And there you go. Once again we are left with a coach pondering why another team attacks their weaknesses. Jimmy, recruit someone to play the front seven, stop playing that ridiculous 2 - 3 defense you employ, and maybe this shit won't happen.

OR, find a fucking QB to keep the other team's defense honest, stop running off every good receiver we have, and maybe your defense won't be on the field all game. Michigan knew even if they had to punt, that was a win. The only way they were losing to Morris, Donovan and our dogshit offense was to turn the ball over or let our defense or special teams score.

Besides a terrible coaching staff, we have two glaring weakness. We can't throw the ball on offense and we can't stop the run on defense. Has been that way the entire time Jimmy has "lead" this team. Other team's understand that and attack it. What do we do? Play a 2 - 3 defense against power run teams and stack the box with three TEs against a loaded front and wonder why the RBs can't get room to run. We have some big time limits talent wise, mostly because recruiting has been poor even since before Pete left, but good fucking GOD this staff is terrible.

Write a real article. Why talks about how the DBs are hoping to get some action, instead of pointing out the reason they don't?

Good to see the boys romping on someone. Granted, a good QB would have put 42-49.on the scoreboard, but we are really seeing how good our pass defense is. A-State can light it up and they're getting shut down.

Hey, UW is clearly better than Memphis and Memphis got one whole vote in the coach's poll! There's hope. :P

Did you notice that Michigan didn't give up anything else to NIU until garbage time?
A FG in the first quarter
A TD at the end of the game

UM may have a better than average defense.....well let's hope so.

Wow, did our Dawgs finally figure out the season has started?
Did our OC finally graduate from OC school?

What the hell happened for that kind of performance?

You could see that we were stronger and faster then the Red Wolves, as the score reflected. So what the hell happened against Montana? Why didn't we have a better showing against Michigan?

Did the young man finally wake up or are the Red Wolves that BAD?

I guess we get to find out next week when Cal comes to visit. Christopher Robin and the Poo Bears always seem to play us tough.
