Yeah, great season.. most fun I've had watching M's play in twenty years. Glad Seager is moving forward, he'd enjoy playing in the AL East with those short right field fences and glad the M's were open about their plans. So different from Jack Z. We need to replace and add onto left hand power and I'd love to keep it fairly young. So let's get started and spend some of our trade chips and go get Jose Ramirez to play third, let's sign Bryce Harper, offer to turn Kikuchi into a bullpen lefty or refuse any option, sign Carlos Rodon, bring in Munoz, Kerr, and Gilly to the pen to add to Ramirez, Sadler, Steckenrider, and Sewald., release Murphy and trade to Toronto for their number three catcher, Reese McGuire?....

Bryce Harper is under contract for 10 more years. You can't sign him.

France is an average bat at 1B (13th in OPS among those qualified) he would be an elite bat at 2b. If you can upgrade at 1B and slide France to second you would be improving 2 positions.

France is an average bat at 1B (13th in OPS among those qualified) he would be an elite bat at 2b. If you can upgrade at 1B and slide France to second you would be improving 2 positions.

He had a .942 OPS before getting injured and a .846 OPS after. And he is only 26 so could improve on that. The FA options at 2B/3B are far better than 1B.

He will only be 39 in 2032. I say we conserve budget to prepare to bid on him at that point.

I sorta doubt the A's would trade Matt Olson now. He's going to make somewhere around $11 million next year which they can totally afford and he's under team control for another year after that. They have to believe 2022 is likely the last year they have to seriously contend and they're going to go for it before selling it all off in 2023.
