My relatives have been on the same land for 125 years. It's paid off but they still have huge expenses and most "city folk" don't understand this. All they see is the income from selling the crops. Not paying for next year's crops, upkeep and replacement of equipment, insurance, water, etc. They could sell out to a conglomerate and go live in Lincoln.
