Just for comparison. Noelvi Marte & Julio Rodriguez in their 1st professional season in the DSL.

Julio in 2018: 59G, .315/.404/.525/.929, 69H, 13 2B, 9 3B, 5HR, 50R, 36RBI, 30BB, 40K, 10SB.

Noelvi in 2019: 65G, .309/.371/.511/.883, 81H, 18 2B, 4 3B, 9HR, 56R, 54RBI, 29BB, 55K, 17SB.

Not a bad Ohtani consolation prize so far.

Kirby seems to have an absolute floor as a #4-5 starter. Great control, able to miss bats and can get up to 98 mph. Will be fun to see how he does next year with a full season and going through the lineup 2-3 times.

Mariners farm system has come a long ways. All top 10 from 18 month's ago are still in the system, but only 1 cracks the top 10 now.

J Rod must have loaned Dunn some of his Super man pills. He is perfect through 4 with 8Ks.

And they pull him with only 49 pitches... Trying to limit his innings I guess, but to what end? He's not reached the 135 he pitched last year (126 after today), and he only has at most 3 starts left (1 regular season, and possibly 2 in the playoffs). Gotta think they are planning on him pitching a few innings beyond that, possibly for the Mariners. I personally would prefer to see him in AFL than to see him pitch a few innings for Seattle.

really odd they didn't let him go 5 innings at least. Maybe he had a plane to catch.

This Donnie Walton’s looking good, hitting over .300, .390 OBP.

Many years of taking pitches.

He’s in AA.

I assumed he took a line drive off his arm.
