You can't legislate stupidity. He is a fucking idiot to think he could keep people from burning down a city, but pre-meditated murder, no way. And I think the prosecution knew that from the start.maoling wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 1:43 amI haven't followed this case very closely until lately, although I "assumed" he had killed non-whites. I didn't realize he had killed a white child rapist and someone who also had an extensive criminal record. Not that he would have known that at the time.
Still, despite the fact he offed two dirtbags and probably did the world a favor, I have a problem with a 17-year-old heading down to a riot as a wannabe vigilante with an AR-15. I think he is an idiot. After watching the videos however, there's no way I could convict him of murder. Or likely not even 2nd degree murder.
But Jeezus, he's guilty of something. I just don't know what. When you bring an assault rifle to a dangerous and volatile situation and then inject yourself into the vortex of that situation, no good is going to come of it and I think this kid needs to do some time.

Re: Rittenhouse
Wasn't he attempting to prevent looting and vandalism of one specific business? I assume there was a reason for that. Also, i thought there was some issue with his possession of the rifle as a minor that was a misdemeanor offense. I don't know how that plays into the charges he's facing.
Re: Rittenhouse
Gun charges dropped. My fav moment of the trial was when the Prosecutor who apparently did his research by watching CNN and MSNBC (who were saying he was a mercenary who OMG crossed state lines, so now they are all concerned with crossing borders) asked what he was doing in Kenosha when he lives in some other town. Prosecutor expected him to have no good answer but he deadpans "well my Dad lives in Kenosha". Good thing for Kyle is the Prosecution is doing nothing but proving his case with their grandstanding for gun control.
AND the trial is in good ole Wisconsin.
Bad thing is he'll live this crap the rest of his life.
My 17 year old cousin was drunk one night and ran over an Indian boy in Yakima on a dirt road going home.
Went to jail two years for manslaughter. Changed his life forever.
Maybe something similar happens here. Scumbags or not...two lives are gone.

It's funny how BLM looters cross state lines to literally burn down cities - and they're heroes if you're watching CNN - but a kid visiting his dad and defending himself from getting killed by shooting two white guys - is a dangerous white supremicist. riiiiiiight. That kid is gonna be rich when his lawyers are done with CNN, MSNBC, etal. Not to mention one of the POS's he shot had threatened to kill him earlier - per witness testimony. The same POS who admitted on defesne cross examination that KR didn't fire until he aimed his gun at his head. This entire case was fabricated by the corrupt US media who chose to ignore the obvious video evidence to stir up false narratives - and their gonna pay the price - again. The last kid they did this to got $250 mill from Wapo and CNN. This will dwarf that.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 12:26 pmGun charges dropped. Re: Rittenhouse
Another quality moment came when the truly dreadful and incompetent sniping prosecutor actually picked up the AR-15, and with finger on the trigger and sighting down the barrel, took dead aim at the jury. What false drama and bullshit, especially since at no time did Rittenhouse fire the weapon in that manner.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 12:26 pmGun charges dropped.
