The Rangers aren't going to wait three more years for an imaginary window to open before they start acquiring good players, what a novel concept.
It's pretty stupid, actually. They will be paying good money, losing out on years of prime production just to finish 4th in the division

They'd have to add a lot of players, but this is the offseason to get that done.

They're obviously not sitting on their thumbs like a bunch of Mary's here begged Dipoto to do the last couple seasons for exactly your reasoning.

If they think they have the talent to compete in the next couple years, waiting until the last minute isn't great strategy. It's how you miss the playoffs by a game when things do start to gel.

Sitting on their thumbs waiting for everything else to be in place first would be pretty stupid, actually.

They could add 5 or 6 top free agents and be better than us. And they certainly have the payroll flexibility to do so.

Ryan Divish chimes in - not much new here. More speculating.

Does anyone have any memory of this guy being a Mariner? I do not.

I saw that some US media explained him as little Mike Trout. I agree with it. But, suppose I say who will be a good comparison player to him in MLB. In that case, I say Ronald Acuna Jr(ATL), Bryan Raynolds(PIT), Mookie Betts(LAD), Byron Buxton (MIN), or Randy Arozarena(TB).

he isn't saying he would be another Ronald Acuna Jr in MLB, he is that in Japan.

That’s fairly rare air. If he hits 30+ home runs over an additional 28 games then you have a inexpensive star on your hands and he can fill in at center field.

sure, I have nothing against signing the guy, but he isn't saying he is going to be an Acuna for us, that is what he is predicting his production would be in MLB as i read it
I know when Japanese player moves to MLB, their stats will get lower than in Japan. So I thought he might hit around .250AVG/20HR/10SB, then those players’ stats I listed above are very close to my prediction of Suzuki’s stats in MLB.
