And that's the same Cal league that used to be a hitters paradise when we got all excited about Vinny Catricala, Jabari Henry and Jordy Lara.

Same league, but different stadium. I think they were High Desert? I didn't follow Minors as much back then (I only started cheering the Mariners in 2011). That stadium was the anti Dickie-Stevens park.

And Julio is now 4-4...

Definitely plenty of bright spots in the minor leagues.

Dipoto should try and fill all vacant spots with more expensive 1 year vets to flip by July when the young kids can come back up for good.

I think they should sign at least 1 pitcher for 3-4 years. Maybe a #2-3 starter. They can always trade him if the young guys are knocking down the door. Can't have too much starting pitching though, and Mariners won't have to give up a first round pick to sign a FA that received a QO.

AFL league rosters are out. Julio and Kelenic joined by Rizzo, Caballero, Murfee, Kerr, Elvis, Delaplane. Will be fun to get 6 more weeks of our guys, especially Juio and Kelenic.

Julio went 5-5 tonight. He will develop power as he fills out.... very aggressive hitter early in the count but has a good eye and more cautious with two strikes.

Dude is hitting balls at 109-112 exit velo. He already has plenty of power, but yes, it will get even more. Add to that a juiced baseball, I think his ceiling is a 45-50 HR type of player, with .280-.290 average. Nelson Cruz with more speed and above average right field defense.

A guy quietly going about his business is Jake Scheiner who we got from the Bruce trade.....16 HRs and 5 Triples with a 834 OPS in Modesto
