Penny's big games
2021
170 vs Lions
135 vs Bears
137 vs Houston

2020
No

2019
Phil 129

2018
Rams 112

I watched today's game and this offense like most offenses works much better with a running threat. Mcvey down in LA (check), Shanahan( check).

If Penny pushes another big game against the Cards I might be tempted to try to bring him back. Maybe talking to A.P. did something. Maybe something was said that "Clicked" for him.

We'll see.

Plenty of reasons to bring him back. All gonna be about money. Unfortunately, with Penny, you just can't count on him playing much.

Dude had a stellar game against, um, Detroit. Great performances against teams that don’t matter. The season is over.

We coulda used you earlier in the season. Just sayin’.

If they had just brought in Adrian P at the start of the season Penny might have 1500 yards by now. :?

Yeah, I find it odd that they pound that story so hard. Sure, it makes AP look even better than the HOF guy he is…but, how does this look for every coach or player that interacted with Penny for over three plus seasons?

The guy just couldn’t get out of his own way until one of the best in the business showed him how? How many backs have the luxury. I wonder what future Hall of Famer showed Nick Chubb the ropes when he got to Cleveland? Odd story for the Seahawks to focus on. Doesn’t make them look good,

Again, reminds me of Jake Browning going to a camp after his Husky career is over and after one day of watching him throw, some coach asks him why he doesn’t use his legs!? Four years, and Husky coaches couldn’t see what some other guy saw in a few throws.

The Penny discussions on Twitter are funny in that people just assume he will come back if we just offer him a contract. I guess he could give us a small home town discount but basically we will be competing with 31 other teams which means significant overpay imo.

And perhaps he doesn't want to play for a 6-11 team.

Like I tweeted. AP must have advised him to not get injured and play against terrible defenses.

I've always felt Penny doesn't handle contact well and goes down easy. It seemed like he was afraid of getting hurt. Hopefully he's past that but I wouldn't bet a dime on it.
