The #Seahawks are signing former #Lions franchise tagged pass-rusher Ziggy Ansah to a 1-year deal, source said. A key, late addition in free agency.

Awesome get. The last time we got a DE from Detroit was none other than Cliff Avril himself, and we all know how that season ended. Hoping history repeats itself with the signing of Ziggy ;)

5.5 Mil guaranteed with incentives taking it to $13.5 Mil  Hopefully that is 500k a sack!

Nice. I just hope they give him plenty of time to get healthy from the shoulder surgery. I'd rather see him near 100% for 10 games than to be banged up all year because he was rushed back.

He was injured in game 7 which is before Halloween. Can't imagine a shoulder taking a full year. They said he would be fully cleared in mid Aug.

Wow, I don't know what to say here.

If Ziggy is healthy he is Frank Clark +/-.

He is 6'5" vs 6'3" for Clark. Their 40 times are 1/100th of a second apart, Clark had a 39" vs 35" verticle for Ziggy, Ziggy had 21 reps vs 19 reps @225 Lbs. They have both averaged about .6 sacks per game. That should be a low estimate because of both players having rookie break-in to starter status and of course injuries.

Needless to say I really like this move. I am absolutely ecstatic at the reported 5 Mil base with incentives up to 13.5.

This has me geeked about the two ends and DL as a whole.
1st Rd pick DJ Collier is 1 of several stout ends joining Quintin Jefferson as the favorites to start opposite Ziggy A.

Ziggy probably starts if healthy but R. Green is a player that deserves PT along with Jackson.

DTs Reed was a beast last year 10.5 sacks from a tackle is a MVP level player if he sustains that. P. Ford and Naz Jones are good rotational parts and I don't know much about the depth after them.

LB is stacked
Wagner (MVP type), KJ Wright, Mingo, and Kendricks are a solid top 4 for 3 positions. BBK, Barton, and Griffen offer depth.

I liked watching Flowers play, Shaq is really pretty good. McDougald and Tedric Thompson were good but there is a lot of depth the 2 safeties are listed way down on depth charts behind notables Delano Hill, Thorpe, Akeem King, Shalom Luani, but Blair and AMadi should play their way in.

This defense should be pretty good if fully healthy. Having Ziggy and Rasheem Green as the rush ends, and Jefferson and LJ Collier as the power end duo bookends the line. Reed looks like a star DT with good rotational pieces.

The LBs have an MVP with really good depth and top 4.
The LOB is gone but the remainder is solidly above average with developing upper tier picks.
