You STOLE his name. And though you could have a wife and kids at age 18, there is no way you could have the job you have if you are only 18 years old!
And just so you know my half birthday is only 6 days before his birthday AND my new middle name is also Yarnel.

Great piece on my Blood Brother:
What in the world has gotten into Julio Rodriguez?
The 18-year-old Mariners outfield prospect earned a promotion from low-A West Virginia to Class A Advanced Modesto earlier this month, and he has done more than just hit the ground running.
Rodriguez hit .587 in his first 46 at-bats with the Nuts, including a 5-for-5 performance on Wednesday.

As expected, Seattle’s No. 3 prospect has cooled some since his torrid – and entirely unsustainable – start, going hitless over his next 14 at-bats before registering two hits on Sunday, including his second home run with the team. Overall, he’s hitting .468 with 17 RBIs in 16 games.
Rodriguez’s fast start in the California League — where he’s nearly four-and-a-half years younger than the average player — doesn’t surprise Hugh Quattlebaum, the Mariners’ minor league hitting coordinator.
“This guy just doesn’t need anyone to help him,” Quattlebaum said. “He’s so self-aware. I think his biggest strength right now is how he is processing information. He’s processing in-game and at such a high level. I don’t know if that’s intuition or if it’s instincts. Whatever it is, it’s not shocking that he’s succeeding.”
The Mariners were so impressed by Rodriguez’s ability and maturity that they allowed him to skip two levels to begin the season, starting the season in the Single-A South Atlantic League after playing all of last summer in the Dominican Summer League.
He hit .293/.359/.490 with 10 home runs and 50 RBIs in his first 67 games with the West Virginia Power, though he missed about seven weeks after breaking a bone in his left hand after getting hit by a pitch in April.
After Modesto’s season ends on Monday, Rodriguez will face an even bigger challenge in the Arizona Fall League where, at 18 (he turns 19 on Dec. 29), he’ll be the youngest player in the league, facing competition he hasn’t faced before.
“It’s good pitching, it’s Double-A guys and a lot of them will be major-league arms. That’s a big leap,” Quattlebaum said. “But Julio’s biggest tool is he’s learning at a faster rate than anyone else. He’s in-tune, paying more attention to how pitchers are pitching him. He’s answering his own questions. It’s incredible.”
The AFL begins play on Sept. 18. In addition to Rodriguez, the Mariners will have seven other players on the roster of the Peoria Javelinas: fellow top prospect and outfielder Jarred Kelenic, infielders Joe Rizzo and Jose Caballero and pitchers Aaron Fletcher, Sam Delaplane, Ray Kerr and Penn Murfee.

Very nice of him to let us know that he wouldn't hit .587 for the rest of his life.

Same birthday, but not same year. I will be exactly twice his age on OUR next birthday.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2019 2:53 amYou STOLE his name. And though you could have a wife and kids at age 18, there is no way you could have the job you have if you are only 18 years old!![]()

Funny side note, I do share a birthday(same year as well) with my wife's best friend.

Re: Minor League Updates
Crismatt who was horrific as a starter after being called up to Tacoma came on for 2 innings as a reliever in Tacoma and struck 6 out with no walks and one hit allowed. Maybe he's found his spot.

Re: Minor League Updates
So there's an actual "real" Scott Service with ties to MLB and not just the fake one who pretends to be a manager (and can't spell his own name correctly)? Interesting.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2019 4:28 amWow, check this out. I was looking up Servais' birthday because I knew it was close to mine and guess who else popped up.

Yeah, they could have made a the Service to Servais Battery since one was a pitcher and one was a catcher. lolSibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2019 2:02 pmSo there's an actual "real" Scott Service with ties to MLB and not just the fake one who pretends to be a manager (and can't spell his own name correctly)? Re: Minor League Updates
Everyone was horrific as a starter in Tacoma. He was abusing too a new level and a new ball. He's a fringy MLB prospect, but probably most likely a long reliever if he does make it.
