Re: Pick'em league
The only one of those games that looks like it could be lopsided is GB - SF. And even then if Garrapalo doesn't do anything stupid it could go either way. I have no feel on any of the other games.

Honestly? It is stupid, but I want to take the 49ers there. There style of play is so hard, especially this time of year.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 4:51 amThe only one of those games that looks like it could be lopsided is GB - SF. But, you are right. Jimmy G is dreadful. That Cowboy game is a blowout with about twenty other QBs in the league under Center.

7 and 0!
I feel I better talk now, because I don't feel great about the rest of my picks. I REALLY liked Cincy. Had 12 points on them until it was for sure Henry was back. Wish I woulda kept it. Just felt less smart at that time. Over thinking at it's finest.

The score would suggest that you were wise to reduce your point wager. If someone had told me the Titans would sack Burrow 9 times i would have put 16 points on them. Oh wait, i did....

I had the Niners all week. That change to the Pack had something to do with my reassinging of points. I like that the 49ers, that style of play is so tough to beat in January. But Jimmy G is just too bad...couldn't stick with him against A Rod.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 3:46 amThe score would suggest that you were wise to reduce your point wager. That said, please, can we stop hearing about A Rod being limited by the talent around him? How many home playoff games does he get to lose before he takes some heat? Coaches get fired, teammates thrown under the bus, but Teflon Arod...Scot Free. Bullshit. He looked like a scared little bitch. I wonder if his bitch huddy ex Punter will call him out? You know, in the only public interview A Rod will do this week!

Why the Packers could move on from Aaron Rodgers in 2022
There's nothing specifically forcing the Packers to move on from Rodgers, but Rodgers' cap hit and the presence of Love could loom large here.
Love will be entering the third year of his four-year rookie contract in 2022. Teams can choose whether to exercise a fifth-year option on first-round picks, so the Packers technically have three years of control over Love entering 2022.
That said, the Packers may want to get a look at Love as a starter to see if he's worth signing to an extension. If they wait too long to evaluate Love, they could risk him entering free agency with a small sample size of games played. That would make it hard to give Love a solid valuation.
The urgency to play Love may not be the biggest factor in a split with Rodgers. The veteran quarterback's contract restructure has caused his cap hit to balloon to a whopping $46.1 million in 2022, per Spotrac.com. That would eat up more than 20 percent of the team's salary cap space and they are already projected to be $32.8 million over the salary cap, in 2022 per OverTheCap.com.
MORE: When could Jordan Love start for the Packers?
Cutting or trading Rodgers would result in a dead cap hit of $26.8 million, but it would also free up $19.3 million in cap space. If the Packers are ready to give Love a chance, that extra cap space could allow them to trim their excess spending without getting rid of — or restructuring deals with — too many of the team's weapons.
It would also represent the last chance for the Packers to get a return on their investment in Rodgers. The team should probably unload him for draft capital in 2022 unless they're confident that they can win a Super Bowl that season or decide that Love is a sunk cost.
Either way, Rodgers' contract is structured in a way that makes 2022 the critical year for him and the Packers. That's part of why Rodgers has been treating this year as a "Last Dance" of sorts.

Re: Pick'em league
I feel bad for AR. It wasn't his fault that the Packers special teams units couldn't protect their kickers. They should have been up 2 scores with 5 minutes to go in the game. He did his job.
