Is Marte now projected as a 3B or is he still playing SS? I'd like to think he might displace Crawford but that seems unlikely now.

Its only been 3 games. Lets give it at least a week to say that he's got a slow start.Case_Of_The_Runs wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 2:38 pmThat's awesome. I love that kid.
Let's promote him to the majors so that his batting average can plummet to the point-ohs. Combined with JK and JRod, their summative batting averages would break .300
Ok. I'm cynical here. I am sad that we can't have a kid that breaks into the majors as a top 3 prospect and hits the ground running.
And I know that we are only 3 games in here, but I am done with the JK experiment. Does he have any trade value at all? Maybe a change of venue would be good for him. He certainly can't bat as a Mariner.

Gentlemen's bet that he flies to Seattle with a sub .200 BA and a sub .600 OPS.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 5:24 pmIts only been 3 games. Lets give it at least a week to say that he's got a slow start.Case_Of_The_Runs wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 2:38 pmThat's awesome. I love that kid.

I really want this kid to succeed. Really. A homegrown, legit infielder with pop in his bat. The heir apparent to 3B (sorry folks, JP ain't going anywhere - my guess is the kid starts working out at 3B soon). But it seems like our best prospects get to the majors and then flail. Is it our hitting coach? It can't be just that - apparently JRod and JK talk to all kinds of people about their batting. I heard that JK ordered "Batting for Dummies" off Amazon.
I know it is just 3 games out of 162, but JK looks hopelessly outmatched at the plate. JRod as well, but JK had lots of games last season to sample major league pitching and then spend the offseason figuring it out. I am over him. Trade him away and give him a change in venue. Or just send his ass back to AAA; maybe a couple of months there will rebuild his confidence.
So no, D-Train - don't want to take any gentleman's wagers that might actually jinx us or bite us in our collective asses!

I was going to take it, if you need both to win, but JK on the bench today. Toro playing 2B too.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 7:52 pmGentlemen's bet that he flies to Seattle with a sub .200 BA and a sub .600 OPS.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 5:24 pmIts only been 3 games. Benched him after his big hit yesterday? lol Guessing there is no video of that. I couldn't find any.

Who the hell is Mason McCoy and what did we trade for him?

He's actually hit well throughout his minor league career and already has played for the Rainiers. RH bat, 27 years old. I guess JP's getting traded tomorrow for a douchebag to be named later and The Real McCoy will take over SS. Plays 3rd and 2nd, too, so Suarez insurance? Can also play OF because Dipoto likes the utility types.
