Outgained by almost 200 yards at home by the fvckin Bengals. 5 out of 12 possessions were 3 and outs. One other ended in a fumble on the first play. The Seahawks lose if their kicker doesn't miss one and/or Dalton isn't a retard with the two fumbles.

This doesn't look like a play-off team to me. O-line and secondary are awful.

It's one game. The Chargers had to go to OT to beat the Luck-less Colts, that was worse.

Also, the Hawks don't "lose" if the field goal is made or the fumbles don't happen. The game unfolds differently if any of those three things don't happen. Or do you think the Hawks try to run out the clock and the punt if they're behind with a minute to play?

You know who was the biggest goat? The Bungles OC. With Dalton shredding our DBs he got really conservative when the chips were down. On that 4th and one he was an idiot to run, they had virtually zero success all day running and he took the game out of Dalton's hands there.

2014. They drilled the Packers 36-16 in week 1.

For some reason the first year that popped into my head was 1984, when Curt Warner blew out his knee but the Hawks still beat the Steelers 30-0 or 33-0.

It seems to me that the main story from this game was the inability (or lack of willingness) of coaches Carroll and Norton to make adjustments to the defensive sets in order to at least slow down the underneath passing game of the Bengals. Was this a personnel issue or a stubborness or lack of competence from the coaching staff?

Had two nickel backs hurt that game. Had to stay in base 4-3 Under defense. Not everything happens because of incompetence.
